Biography

Dianne Timmins was born and raised on a hobby farm in Millville and
moved to Big Bras d’Or when she married Brian a 3rd generation
fisherman. Dianne fished with Brian for 10 years before she went on to
start her own career in Business Administration. Brian and Dianne are the
proud parents of 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
Dianne has been living in Victoria the Lakes her entire life.
Her dedication to the constituency and the entire Island of Cape Breton is
unsurpassed.


As a Constituency Assistant (CA) to Keith Bain for 14 years, Dianne has
first hand experience in dealing with the issues facing Cape Breton and
the province of Nova Scotia. She has an exceptional rapport with the
members of the community. Her number one priority to them is to be
approachable and accessible with the utmost confidentiality.
Over the years, Dianne has had first hand experience responding to
inquiries from constituents, politicians on all levels of government, the
media, lobbyists and stakeholders. She has also been carrying out
research into local, regional, national and international issues to make sure
she is up to date on relevant matters.
Dianne was involved in community and social programs across Cape
Breton before she joined Keith as his CA. She is an avid volunteer in the
community and has been for over 35 years working as a parent volunteer
in a local elementary school, developing programs, and working on the
expansion of Boularderie School including the introduction of the
community access program (CAP) in Victoria County. Dianne is currently
on the board of the Boularderie Pastoral Charge where she has presided
for over 30 years and is currently the chair of M&P.
Dianne is very conscientious and is deeply respected in her community
and by the constituents of Victoria the Lakes.
